Keri & Jeff's Wedding Flowers - Castoro Cellars

Keri & Jeff were wed at the beautiful Castoro Cellars in Templeton, California. Katie DiSimone was the lovely photographer that provided these photos of the day.

Patrice, the wedding coordinator for this event, helped Keri and Jeff bring their vision of their day to life. They had wanted their theme of vintage keys carried throughout the wedding. I attached keys with ribbon to Keri's bouquet.

Don't you just love that color of plum that the girls are wearing!?!?!

Oh my goodness, that dress is amazing!!!

We hung mercury glass votives, crystals and roses in our manzanita branches and roses at the base.

I loved how the manzanita, mercury glass votives and roses looked on the long head table.

Once again the couple's theme of vintage keys is shown here on the napkins.

Our large manzanita tree helped display the guest place cards and keys.

Here is a quick look at a recent wedding out at Vina Robles Winery in Paso Robles. The centerpiece designs were so soft, romantic and lush with large headed garden roses, dusty green antique hydrangeas, ranunculas, lisianthus and dusty miller.
I loved how the Bride incorporated her own vintage plates for all of the guest place settings.

Still Waters Vineyards Wedding

This is a photo of the centerpiece design that we did for a wedding out at StillWaters Vineyards just a couple of weekends ago - so beautiful! We used our tree slices as the base and set upon them were our wrought iron lanterns that were surrounded with blooms, moss and local organic fruit. Sarah & Jake - Ranch Wedding Flowers

Wanted to share with you a sweet wedding that we delivered out to a family ranch here on the beautiful Central Coast. I always ask my Bride's "what are your favorite flowers?" or "what is the color palette for your wedding flowers?". Well, with Sarah there really weren't any favorites - she loves them all! She was looking for a "just picked from the garden" feel with a rainbow of colors and I'm so excited with how they turned out!

The boutonnieres were lovely too - we used fresh lavender herb, dusty miller, seeded eucalyptus and blue antique hydrangea florettes. Each had a stem wrapping of burlap twine.

This handsome young man was kind enough to give me a little smile right before he walked down the aisle.

Chelsea & Drew - Holland Ranch Wedding Flowers

Chelsea and Drew were a really fun couple! Their special day took place at the beautiful Holland Ranch in San Luis Obispo, California.

Mark Padgett Event Design was the genius behind the design of this whole event. Beautiful as usual Mark! ;)

These adorable wood cut outs were found to place in the Bride's bouquet ....

and the Groom's boutonniere.

Colleen Rosenthall is the amazing artist of all the photos you see - thanks Colleen for being so generous to share!

The Ranch's arch structure was covered with fresh moss and living succulents for an amazing focal point for their ceremony area.

This was such a fun idea and a great icebreaker for guests - Chelsea and Drew placed MadLibs on their tables for their guests to have fun with during the reception!

For the centerpiece designs we used our clean line ceramic white vessels filled to overflowing with blooms and succulents. We placed these on our rustic barn wood slats.

We used dahlias, ranunculas, pin cushions, blue thistle, Queen Anne's lace and pale blue delphinium.

The long head table was unique for Chelsea and Drew and the wedding party to sit at.

I love these sweet little apple pie pops - deliciousness on a stick!!!

Mark put together such an adorable dessert table for the couple. The finishing touch was a beautiful two-tiered cake by the lovely Yarro of the Cakery. It was dusted with freshed shredded coconut and her special "fairy dust". Glorious!!!!

Mark's team put together these succulent pomander balls and hung them over the dance floor along with the couples initials in wood letters.

Summer is here!!

Whoa, it has been a long stretch since I have last blogged! A lot has happened since we last chatted.... weddings with beautiful sunshine, a wedding with RAIN in June (can you believe it!??!?), a floral design class and of course lots of wonderful blooms! I will get you caught up over the next couple of posts - so put your seatbelts on ;)

First up - the venue: Hammersky Vineyards, the palette: green, chocolate brown, creamy white, black, the couple: Matt and Nicole

HammerSky Vineyards is a gorgeous vineyard tucked in the mountains between Paso Robles and Templeton. The farmhouse is so beautiful and has such a Southern elegant feel to it.

Matt and Nicole were such a delight to work with from the get go! So down to earth yet they knew exactly what they wanted. Their colors were vibrant viburnum green, creamy white, black and chocolate. We used manzanita, fern curls, brown wood boxes for the dark accents and viburnum for the apple green color.

The vendors were handpicked by Matt and Nicole and knocked it out of the park once again!

Central Coast Wedding Flowers- Stephany and Allan at Hummingbird House, Templeton

Stephany and Allan's day was a blessing to be a part of. Both are very warm people that were looking for their Special day to be all about that - a warm, relaxing get together for their friends and family. The ceremony and reception took place at the beautiful Hummingbird House in Templeton. Daniella and her staff are always so friendly and helpful!

All of these gorgeous photos were taken by Austin & Dara of Santa Barbara Wedding Photographers.

The boutonieres were fun yet natural with the crespedia balls and chamomile herb.

Stephany knew exactly what she wanted for her bouquet and we had so much fun doing it!
Don't you just love the look of the crespedia balls massed in the center with the sweet little chamomile blooms dancing around the edge?!?!

Arroyo Grande Wedding - Wedding Flowers - Elizabeth & Marcus

I think one of my favorite color palettes for a wedding is: pale pink, ivory, white, chocolate brown and spring green. There is just something about that palette that says "soft, elegance with a touch of natural organic." Elizabeth and Marcus' wedding day was a beautiful sun shiny day. And the "one and only" Mike Larson Photography was there to capture it all with these gorgeous photos. (Thanks Mike!)

Their ceremony took place at St. Patrick's church in Arroyo Grande and the reception followed at Cypress Ridge Pavilion up on the Mesa.

Elizabeth carried a bouquet of green viburnum, peonies, freesia, lisianthus and scented geranium. We wrapped the stems of her bouquet with satin ribbon and her Grandmothers rosary beads for her "Something Old".

The sweet little flower girls carried fresh floral pomander balls of white cushion mums.

Our chocolate brown cones were filled with blooms and hung from the pew ends with pale pink satin ribbon.

Our chocolate brown wooden boxes were filled with smooth river stones and place cards for the guests.
The table centerpieces were romantic, lush blooms in their wedding colors. Some of the flowers included peonies, hydrangeas, viburnum, stock and ranunculas.

Central Coast Wedding - Eagle Castle, Paso Robles

Rebecca & Matt were married at Paso Robles' Eagle Castle. It is a beautiful castle! They were wed on the top level of the Castle overlooking the vineyards. The following photos were provided by the amazingly talented Emily at MLE Photography out of San Diego.

Rebecca's bouquet was full of burgandy dahlias, chocolate cosmos, ranunculas, mini calla lilies and Safari Sunset.

For the ceremony we set our chocolate brown wooden boxes filled to overflowing with blooms and greenery in their wedding colors upon the Castle's wine barrels.

A fun accent was to hang strands of deep red rose petals with hanging crystals from manzanita branches for a little pop of sparkle.

These were the centerpiece designs in their reception room. We added cymbidium orchid blooms and hanging votives to the branches.

To dress up the cake table a bit we added our vine pedestal with some accent blooms to the cake.

Paso Robles Wedding - Eberle Winery

What a fun wedding this was for us! Photographer Colin Michael was perfect at capturing that vibe.

We added fresh blooms to their already beautiful cake which was provided by Cristine's Cakes in Paso Robles.

The Attendants carried a floral pomander ball in the wedding colors - mango, fushcia, apple green and white. The ring bearers pillow was made of moss and accented with florals and ribbon.

The Bride's bouquet was a cascading bouquet designed in a really organic manner. I wove a frame of curly willow first and then added all of the blooms and greenery within that. I was totally happy with the way that it turned out and more importantly so was the Bride! :)

Katie & Wes Wedding Flowers - Paso Robles

Katie and Wes were married at Oak Creek Commons in Paso Robles. Katie really wanted the floral arrangements to have a natural, organic feel to them. She provided some succulents that she had chosen especially for us to arrange in her bouquet. We also added crespedia and dahlias with seeded eucalyptus and dusty miller.

Still Waters Vineyards Wedding - Nicole & David

Nicole and David were married on what I think was the hottest "Autumn" weekend I can ever remember! Atleast 102 degrees...Yikes! The wedding was held at Still Waters Vineyards which is located behind Templeton and Paso Robles on the Central Coast. The event took place in the beautiful landscape nestled between the gorgeous vineyards and old olive tree groves.

Nicole's bouquet was filled with roses, dahlias, Safari Sunset, chocolate scented geranium, chocolate cosmos, berries and pods.

Wedding Flowers Central Coast - Kimberly & Norm

What a beautiful day - Kimberly and Norm were wed at the amazing Dana Powers House in Nipomo, California. I love all of the little details that make Dana Powers such a special and unique venue to have your wedding at. I must confess that I love to just wander around and look at all of the "fancy" that Judy has carefully and lovingly decorated her location with over the years. She is good!
The entire event was designed and coordinated by the wonderful Mark Padgett Event Design team. Mark is gifted with the talent of being able to take all of his clients snipet's of inspiration photos, color palettes and wish lists and make it all come together for one cohesive beautiful special event - your wedding day!
The photographer at work today was the one and only Colleen Rosenthall! She is always such a pleasure to work with and so easy going and cheerful! All of these photos are her wonderful work!
The scrumptuous cuisine was provided by the "yummy" Two Cooks Catering.
Fig Leaf Video was there to capture all of Kimberly and Norms special moments throughout the day.
Kramer Entertainment & Lighting provided the lighting and the groovin' tunes throughout the evening.

Kimberly and Norm were looking for their wedding flowers to have a feel of vintage, nostalgic with a hint of contemporary but yet organic and natural.

The vintage labels nestled in wheatgrass were used for place cards.

The favors were homemade cookies placed in these adorable boxes and given to each guest.

Mark created these beautiful table numbers of vintage can labels from the 1920's.

The centerpieces were a collection of milk glass and vintage glassware filled with an assortment of dahlias, ranunculus, Queen Anne's lace, viburnum, stock, crespedia and dusty miller.

Robert Hall Winery Wedding - Meagan & Austin

Meagan and Austin are such a fun couple and full of such joy! Their wedding ceremony and reception took place at the beautiful Robert Hall Winery in Paso Robles. The amazing team of photographers Ken Keinow and Jen Rodriguez were shooting away to capture these special moments of the day.
Meagan's bouquet was full of peonies, roses, ranunculas and lisianthus. The Attendants were carrying bouquets of cheerful gerbera daisies, roses and green button mums.

The night almost went off without a hitch except for one little thing - when their guests were heading down to the gorgeous cellars downstairs where their reception was being held - some of their guests got stuck in the elevator! Oh my - but no problem..."Paso's Finest" were there to take care of the situation so that the party could go on! Both Austin and Meagan had such a great attitude about the whole thing!

Sycamore Mineral Springs Wedding - Tiffanie & Eric

Tiffanie & Eric were such a pleasure to be able to work with! It was a beautiful and elegant ceremony followed by a reception celebration that no one wanted to end.

We were blessed to be able to work along side with:

Tiffanie chose to have two different designs for their centerpieces to add interest to the tables.

Half of the designs were a low collections of clear vases filled with blooms in their wedding colors.

The other half were tall designs of curly willow branches placed in our tall cylinder vases accented with stems of white dendrobium orchids and hanging votive candles.

Tiffanie's bouquet was made up of green viburnum, freesia, ranunculas and lisianthus.

The Attendant's carried bouquets of all white and green blooms. Some of the flowers included stock, freesia and green viburnum.

Tiffanie is such a sweetie that soon after the celebration we recieved a thank you note from her:

"Thank you so much for the beautiful flowers. They were more than I had ever expected!! You are so talented and such a joy to work with. I can't tell you how much it all means to me so I will just say ... thank you, thank you!!!"

San Fransisco - Inspires & Rejuvenates

I was fortunate enough to be able to "run away" for a long weekend up to the San Fransisco Bay area. It was a perfectly sunny winter weekend with plenty of sights to be seen...

The historic architecture is so fantastic ... so many stories to be told.

We of course had to ride the trolly...

And then there was Anthropology! Ok, I must confess - I could wander and daydream in this store for days. And I am embarrased to say that I am not looking at the wonderful merchandise but the .... store displays and props... {am I the only one out there that does this...???} I am in awe of the creative minds that come up with these ideas!

Just the front window alone leaves me just wanting to stare! It is recycled water bottles that have been delicately cut into flowers.

Here is a close up of the individual blooms.

As you enter the store you are greeted by an enormous paper "puff" chandelier.

One of the displays had long trailing path of rolled paper and wire...
How many man hours did this display take alone to do?

Large cardboard paper letters as tall as me...

What about this bed? It has a bed frame made of cut lumber and logs!!!

This sweet yet massive ostrich made of recycled pages from old books gazed upon the store's shoppers.

Check out those cute little eyelashes! So adorable ...

Moss covered tubes create a great hanging sculpture...

I love the simplicity of the hanging keys in mass on the wall.

Every girl needs a bit of pampering and some of the latest and greatest advise on covering up those pesky wrinkles that "magically" appeared on my face a few years back! Debbie at Clinique was the gal! Thank you Debbie for all of your help and patience!

Then we were off to Kara's Cupcakes for a bit of Chocolate Therapy!

My sweet sister Melodi had to taste test too of course! Mmmmm...

I love ice cream {it's one of my weaknesses} and had never seen such a display of delightfullness!

And then to finish off an amazing day we drove up to Twin Peaks and looked out onto the great view of the city. Thanks Sis for such a wonderful weekend and taking time out of your schedule to tour me around the City - I loved it!

Rebecca & Erick - Eagle Castle Winery, Paso Robles

Gina & Matt - Bianchi Winery, Paso Robles

What a fun day we had with Gina & Matt! Their gorgeous fall colors just popped against the amazing setting at Bianchi Winery in Paso Robles. Some of the blooms that we used were "flame" mini callas, roses, dahlias, hanging green amaranthus and hypericum berries. One of my favorite elements was when Gina wanted to be able make their ceremony florals do "double-duty" as we call it and reuse them at the reception area. So when the photos were complete we took down the floral arrangements off of the arch and transformed them into floating candle arrangements in the winery's pond. That way they and their guests were able to enjoy them all night long! I think that William McKee got way too many laughs watching us try and try and try to get the floating arrangements in "just the right spot"! Congratulations Gina & Matt -Thanks for letting us be a part of your Special Day!!!

Megan & Brent - Cambria Pines Lodge

Megan and Brent were a lovely couple from out of state, so much of the planning was done via phone and e-mails. It turned out to be a beautiful, sunny day at Cambria Pines Lodge. The ceremony took place in the beautiful "White Garden". They sweet wooden arbor was adorned with cascading florals and greenery in whites. Down the aisle we scattered fresh rose petals in white. From the elegant chivari chairs we dangled our moss covered cones filled with blooms in white. Megan carried a fragrant bouquet of garden roses, mini calla lilies, stephanotis and freesia. Each of her attendants carried a long stemmed cluster of large headed calla lilies. Inside for their reception were centerpieces of chocolate wood boxes filled to overflowing with hydrangeas, garden roses, calla lilies, dahlias and scented geranium. Each were surrounded by an abundance of candles. (Which turned out to be a huge blessing in the end!!)

Vows are said ... cocktails have began...all is going smoothly until... the power goes out in the entire resort! (We later hear it was because a car hit a power pole in town.) Thankfully our floral installation was complete and we were in the clear - but who's job is just beginning?... The fantastic team at Kramer Entertainment DJ's jumps into action! As soon as the power went out Beau and Brian of Kramer Entertainment and Patrice of Arranged by Patrice go into Plan "B" mode instantly! Beau had a special power generator that had just enough power to power their DJ system. And the night moved on as planned. Great job guys!
